Operation roundup

Harmony House/CASA received a $1,000 donation from Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Roundup for the youth scholarship fund. The Farm to Fork silent auction raised $1,200 for the scholarship fund giving us a total of $2,200 that will be used for youth who have been appointed bolunteers in the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) or the Court Appointed Youth Advocate (CAYA) programs. These funds will provide enrichment activities or assistance for post-high school education.

The Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Roundup is fully funded by the Kankakee Valley REMC members who voluntarily round-up their electric bills each month to the nearest whole dollar and returned to non-profit organizations in the form of grants. To date, Operation Roundup has given back over $890,000 to support the great programs provided by not-for-profit groups in the area.
