8:00 am – registration opens
9:00 – 5K Run/Walk start* (all ages and genders; strollers and dogs on leashes welcome)
10:30 – Kids’ Fun Run, followed by Race Award Ceremony
10:45 – Costume Contest (all ages)
11:00 am – Deep Fried Pickle Project live music show and instrument making workshops.
2:00 – festival ends

*Race is timed, but not a chip timed race*

Family Advocates invites you to join us for our 5th annual Superhero Fun Fest and 5K run/walk. Come spend the day with us and enjoy the fun while supporting a wonderful cause. Family Advocates is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for children who have been abused or neglected.

ONLINE REGISTRATION HAS ENDED, YOU CAN REGISTER TOMORROW AT THE RACE.
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU AT THE EVENT!

-Adult 5K Race $25 until 9/29/17; $35 day of race sign up.

-Youth Age 9-13 5K Race $15 until 9/29/17; $20 day of race sign up.

-Kids Fun Run Age 1-12 $5 until 9/29/17; $10 day of race sign up (kids get capes for fun run)

-Family Fee $75 for the entire family (2 adults and children).

-Dog Fee $5

The Superhero Fun Fest begins with the Superhero 5K at 9:00AM, registration opening at 8:00AM.

Heroes can dress up and run/walk the scenic route around Stone Lake.

The Kids Fun Run will be a chance for our mini-heroes to run or fly to the end.

After the races our judges will determine the best super heroes in attendance. We will have best kid, best team and best family. All the winners will be added to our Super hero traveling trophy and get an individual prize.

Throughout the day families can come play at the Family Fun Zone which will include carnival games, face painting, bounce house, balloon animals and more!

Join the award-winning Deep Fried Pickle Project jug band as they perform their zany, kid friendly music. The Pickles will perform live and run a workshop for kids to make their own jug band instruments. As Tor Hyams of Lollapalooza/ Kidzapalooza states, “The Deep Fried Pickle Project is a wonderful cross between mountain music and timeless old school fun.”

While you are enjoying the day there will be food vendors and more.

ENTERTAINMENT

Runners, race fans, family and friends will be treated to live music on Saturday at the FUN Fest immediately following the conclusion of the 5K run and award ceremony.

The Pickles will perform live and run a workshop for kids to make their own jug band instruments.
